About The Author

Amanda Newell is a mom of two, an avid traveler, and a lover of books and learning, nature, matcha lattes, and animals. From a young age, her mom always encouraged her to write her stories down. After losing her mom to cancer and then her beloved dog, Nash, she decided to share her love of adventure through the eyes of her late dog in Adventures with Nash Dog: Welcome Home.

Nash’s story began in 2014 when Amanda adopted him from a rescue in Denver, Colorado. He became her best friend and travel companion. Together, they traveled to the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, Lake Michigan, through the rolling hills of the Midwest, the Ozarks of Arkansas, and finally, the Sunshine State.

Amanda currently lives in Ohio with her husband and two kids. She spends most of her time with her family and friends and is always up for the next adventure! This is her first children’s book.
